Sunday April 13th, 2008 Noon Yacolt Washington

Arriving in Yacolt it was warm 75 degree day Arriving in town, I drove to the first pole that was covered by an orange sleeve to find a nest of two Quakers beneath the orange sleeve that appeared to be falling off.
As I drove closer, I noticed a Quaker bird nest developing under the improperly installed orange sleeve .

As I continued into town I noticed that YPPA has not had the chance to reconstruct and erect their third attempt on their pole number four located on the corner of Yacolt Road & Hubbard.

Below, notice a lot of fallen twigs that have fallen from the nest being rebuilt on the power pole where Clark County Public Utilities neglected to install a orange deterrent sleeve after this week's nest tear down.

As I continued into town, I noticed that YPPA has YET to reconstructed the flaws in their Nest Platforms erected in Mid~ March. These are critical nest platforms located on the main corner of Hubbard & Twin Falls Avenue. * The twigs you see may have been gleaned from across the street from YAPPA'S platform.

A beatutifil nest platform erected by YPPA, is located across the street from the power pole where the Quakers have been repeatedly have been constructing their nest.

This pole appears to have no interior support. A- 2" metal pole, with a - 3" neck leading up to the platform constructed by YPPA.

YPPA has been pledged to be financed by;

  1. The Quaker Parrot Society.

  2. Friends of Animals.

  3. And Nick Peck; VP of YPPA.

YPPA has been Pledged to be financed by the above groups since December, 2007.

In the distance, I noticed a flock of Homing Pigeons being followed playfully by a Quaker.

Upon the arrival at N.W. Bird Rescue's platform number two, I noticed one curious Quaker flying off the top of this platform.

the Yacolt Parrott Preservations first location,
that they have yet to make their third attempt at erecting the correct platform designs .
